Blue Ocean Strategies - How to Create Uncontested Market Space and Make Competition IrrelevantKicking off the conference is Senior Blue Ocean Strategy expert, Ralph G. Trombetta, of Value Innovation Associates. Companies have long engaged in head-to-head competition in search of sustainable, profitable growth. They have fought for competitive advantage, battled over market share, and struggled for differentiation. Often this approach results in nothing but a bloody "red ocean" of rivals fighting over a shrinking pool of profits, according to W.C. Kim and R. Mauborgne, authors of "Blue Ocean Strategy".
Are credit unions trapped in a red ocean, competing among themselves?
Rather than just benchmarking other credit unions and financial services organizations, Blue Ocean Strategy can help credit unions to discover new elements of buyer value by looking outside the boundaries of the credit union industry. Blue Ocean Strategy, a process of visual discovery, can help credit unions to create fantastic experiences and new services that go beyond existing ways of competing.
