Marilyn Loewen Mauritz

Chief Transformation & Legal Officer

Marilyn joined Central 1’s executive team as Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary in March 2015, and has also served as Interim President & CEO from July 2017 to January 2018.

Marilyn is currently the Chief Transformation & Governance Officer at Central 1 Credit Union, responsible for a number of critical strategic functions to help Central 1 drive and deliver on its new strategic direction, including Transformation Office, Corporate Strategy, Project Management Office, Government & Member Relations, Corporate Technology, Legal and Corporate Secretary.

She is an advocate for diversity on the Board and was instrumental in driving the adoption of Central 1’s diversity policies. In 2018, she launched Powering Women, an initiative created to inspire, support, elevate and empower women at Central 1, in the credit union sectors.

Marilyn currently serves on the Board of Directors of YWCA of Greater Vancouver.  She previously was a director of BC College of Registered Nurses, Vancouver Opera and International Women’s Forum – Vancouver Chapter.

Marilyn obtained her Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Calgary and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster University. She is admitted to the Law Society of British Columbia and Alberta. She is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors, ICD.D.
