Carol Ann joined Central 1 in 2023 as Chief Risk Officer, responsible for risk management, compliance, regulatory and government affairs. She previously served as Chief Risk Officer for both the Bank of Canada and Payments Canada, where she led enterprise, operational and financial risk functions. Carol Ann also held senior roles at the Bank of Canada focused on financial stability and oversight of systemically important financial market infrastructures. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Science and a Master’s in Financial Economics from the University of Toronto, and a Master’s Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management from York University.
