Vancouver, B.C., January 8, 2021 – Central 1 is pleased to announce the appointment of Kathy Parslow as Chief Corporate Services Officer, effective January 25, 2021.
Kathy’s appointment will support Central 1’s ability to achieve our strategic priorities. In this newly created role, she will take accountability for Operational Excellence and have multiple functional accountabilities including Human Resources, Information Technology, Corporate Secretary, Legal Government Affairs, and Facilities Management. She joins the Executive Leadership team at Central 1.

Kathy joins Central 1 from the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) where she held executive positions since 2012. Her executive experience includes Corporate Services, Claims Customer Service, Claims and Driver Licensing Operations and most recently Claims Services and Material Damage Services. These roles have included periods leading over 1000 employees, multi-billion dollar annual spends and significant process and performance improvement initiatives. As a member of the ICBC Executive team, she also played a significant role in the transformation of the company.

She holds an Executive Master of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, a Master of Arts in History (with full Fellowship) from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Arts, Honours History Co-Operative Education Programme and concentration in Canadian Studies Cum Laude at the University of Ottawa.
